Merry Christmas from Papua New Guinea!
It is the night before Home Assignment all through the house, it was empty and barren with all our belongings packed away.
The parents are stirring around like crazy sorting and packing, trying to prepare their children for change as they have their last sleep in their own beds.
The suitcases are packed and lined up with care, in hopes that the airline won’t charge overweight fees.
The children are sleeping soundly while dreaming of grandmas and grandpas, snowball fights and snow forts.
The parents are amazed that the time has gone, almost four years has gone and the baby is four years and the toddler is seven.
We are all quite excited to see family on Christmas, yet pray that the 32 hours of travel will be enjoyable as we move into a new house in the sky,
Extending our Christmas day by 15 hours, traveling around the world.
Pray that the clatter of Covid doesn’t bring them to a halt.
And oh wouldn’t it be nice if… DASHER, PRANCER, VIXEN, COMET, CUPID, DONNER and BLITZEN could bring them from Boston to Grandma’s house!
Because the parents are fearful of jetlag and 4 years of PNG driving…. Would they remember how to drive in America?
But thankful they are that OUR FATHER brings people and blessings along their way to take care of them each step of the way.
Thank you for your prayers as we fly to Port Moresby tomorrow, Dec 20th and on to Brisbane, Doha and Boston on Dec 24-25. We are looking forward to seeing our good friend, “brother” and “uncle” Nate in Port Moresby for a few days before we fly internationally. Pray for sleep and contentment despite new crazy covid travel restrictions. Please pray for adjustment through culture shock of America plus Covid shock… it is a whole new world then it was 4 years ago! We are excited to see family and friends this next year! First we will be in MA for 3 weeks. Jan 18th we will fly up to Nova Scotia where we will live for 6 months before returning to MA for 6 more months. And back to PNG in January 2022! We are excited to see what God has in store for us this next year and hope to see many of you along the way!
