This is what we do we host. In this past month we have hosted some teenagers for many meals who were left behind because their father was evacuated on a medical emergency. We have given hugs and hosted for meals parents that had just said goodbye to their children in boarding school. We’ve hosted singles for dinner who miss family. We’ve been a listening ear and an advice giver. We have helped those who are new to the country find the nearest grocery store, fruit stand and vegetable stand. We have been blessed by our guests hugs, prayers, notes of thanks and little gifts of cookies for our children. After my parents left us we were able to be a mutual encouragement as we cried together with those who were leaving their children behind at boarding school. It is not easy being a missionary. It is stressful and we miss our families. But the sacrifice is worth it so that people understand there’s one way to heaven and that one way is Jesus Christ. We hope our serving will make a difference in this vast mission field as we are an encouragement to those serving.
