A tree which towered 90 feet above the small bush huts of the village.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>In een afgelegen gebied van ons eiland klimt Kaulus een van de reusachtige Broodvrucht bomen. De reus steekt wel 30 meter boven de hutjes van het dorp uit.<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kaulus is not a reckless jong man. He is a father trying to provide his family with food for the day.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Kaulus is niet een roekeloze jongen. He is paralyzed from his hips down with no hope of improvement. We are glad to be able to support and help him in his suffering.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Kaulus is nu in het ziekenhuis. Hij is verlamd vanaf zijn heupen zonder hoop ooit weer te kunnen lopen. Wij zijn blij iets te mogen doen voor hem tot steun en hulp in zijn ellendige situatie.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 361px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-right   \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jan-wols\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/552\/files\/medical-project\/weelchair-repair-small.jpg\" alt=\"weelchair-repair-small\" width=\"361\" height=\"271\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">A little oil and a check-over \/ Even nakijken en smeren<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In preparation for when the bone in his back is healed and strong again we have prepared a wheelchair from the aid-supplies send from Holland, so he can learn to use it as soon as he can.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Hij moet nu nog plat blijven liggen om zijn gebroken wervel te laten hechten. Wij hebben een rolstoel vanuit de hulpgoederen uit Nederland klaargemaakt zodat hij, zo gauw zijn rug sterk is kan gaan oefenen het te gebruiken.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We pray that Kaulus will find Gods strength and courage to pick up the pieces of his life.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ons gebed is dat Kaulus Gods kracht en moed zal kunnen aangrijpen om verder te gaan met wat er over is van zijn leven.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In one of the remote areas of our island, Kaulus climbed one of the enormous Breadfruit trees.
