The Lord Makes It Happen!

July 30, 2012 by Jared and Diana Jantz

Craft time at VBS

How can three ladies from three different states come together and organize a VBS?  It is truly the Lord that makes it all happen!

For one week in July our church hosts a VBS.  This happens every summer but this year I wasn’t so sure that it would “come together”.  Two of the teachers (my sister and I) come from out of state so it is always a miracle that we get to NE with everything that we might need for our classes and craft time.

We have been doing this for many years but it seems like the past few years we have more and more loose ends to tie up before we start.  I think it must be age but my little sister gently smiles and tells me that is not the case – it is all the other things in our lives that keep our brains befuddled.

This year we both noticed that a new group of kids are growing up in the ranks and that we were teaching some of the grandchildren of kids that we used to play with when we were growing up. Now THAT should really make us feel our age but in all truth … it was a joy having them in class and being able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them.

“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:

for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 19:14
