His Ways Are Not My Ways

August 26, 2013 by Jared and Diana Jantz

The events of this summer have once again affirmed to me that I am not the Master of my days.  God alone is weaving my tapestry and I don’t get to see the finished project yet.

I had committed myself to teach VBS again this year in Nebraska but it looked like I was going to go alone.  Jared needed to stay at the school – or so we thought – but God, … had other plans.  My “ride” fell through so Jared rearranged his schedule and we went together.

We had planned to visit our oldest daughter and her family and although that did happened, it had some delays … but God knew that too!

We had our return date back to the school pretty set but that did not happen either, so the few extra days were spent visiting family … but God knew about that too!

The end result was that our second daughter and her little one were able to come back with us for a nice visit.  God knew we needed this visit and HE even gave us an overcast day for traveling instead of a hot and sunny day.

Although this is one “adventure” I really do not want to repeat – except of course, the visiting with family – I am thankful for seeing HIS faithfulness in it all!
