As I sit at my computer and think back over the past few weeks I am in awe of what GOD did for me just recently … HE made a way for me to spend time with our oldest daughter and her family this summer.
Our son-in-law is working on his Masters in Education and had to be away from home for several weeks this summer. I started praying and asking around about the possibilities of transportation going west but nothing seemed to pop. I shared this with Heather one day and she and her husband immediately and with great enthusiasm offered to buy a ticket for me. I was overcome and speechless – the time ratio that this was coming together was way too fast for me … but I said ‘yes .. great … I will do it … and thank you’.
The time together was priceless and getting to know our grandsons a bit better in person was such a blessing. To hear Aiden say ‘gama’ was music to my ears and to see Callen’s sweet smile warmed my heart! I was amazed at how much Heather gets accomplished in her very busy household and proud of her as well.
God certainly is able to meet our needs but I believe it gives Him great pleasure and joy when He blesses us with a ‘desire of our hearts’.
Note: Jared was not able to travel with me due to the huge renovation project at school this summer but I took lots of pictures to share with him.
