Real Servants

March 27, 2017 by Jared and Diana Jantz

Last week, Jared and his team, as well as a few other men from different departments, had the opportunity to serve their fellow co-workers who minister in the kitchen here at NTBI-Waukesha.  Our kitchen crew likes to attend a Food Fair to get new ideas to “change it up a bit” for our students and they needed someone to “fill their shoes” while they did that.

And that is where the Maintenance Team came in.  The kitchen crew lined everything up for these guys. Hamburgers, baked beans, and chips were on the menu along with a salad bar. They were responsible to get it cooked and set out for our students. They also had to cleanup afterwards but our students were a great help in that area.

It was fun to watch the faces of the students as they saw our Maintenance guys cooking hamburgers instead of swinging hammers or unplugging drains.  These guys normally work behind the scenes but are so willing to step up and help each other when there is a need. They are tired at the end of a day and yet they just keep going.  Pray that they never lose sight of serving!
