Mental Overload

June 6, 2013 by Jared and Diana Jantz

Thumbs Up for the Workshop!

The week following graduation the staff here at NTBI had the privilege to participate in a Workshop on sharpening our interpersonal skills.  There were several sessions each day and although the subject matter was helpful and humbling at times, there was so much to absorb.  We found ourselves being on “material mental overload”.

It was good to be reminded that Love is the Goal in all we do and say.  We are thankful for God’s Word and what it teaches concerning … lovingly encouraging, lovingly confronting, lovingly forgiving, and lovingly allowing people to grieve.

More "workshop talk" during the break!

So … was the week-long workshop worth the “material mental overload”?  It sure was; and our hearts were blessed by the workshop leaders who came alongside and encouraged us to begin with small steps!

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”    Colossians 3:12-14 (NIV)
