Classes and schedules for both staff and students have been pretty hectic this semester so I decided that it was time to do something different, something fun, and possibly a bit “stretching”. So … I hosted a card-making party with my Evangelism Girls Group.
I chose a night that would hopefully work for most of them and set the wheels turning. Actually the wheels did not turn but my Cricut sure got a “work-out” in preparing for it. I usually plan for at least three or four cards a piece … and more if time allows and the creative juices are flowing.
It is truly a night of fun connecting with these young women and encouraging them in their uniqueness and creativity. Years ago, a dear friend of mine in Paraguay got me interested in card-making and I have enjoyed it ever since. Her words of wisdom have been passed on to those I “stamp with” as well … ‘you cannot make a bad card, it is yours, it reflects you, it is beautiful’.
I know that my girls love this time together but it goes both ways … I love it too!
