God is at work!

April 23, 2011 by Jared and Diana Jantz

reecognizing elders 238Praise the Lord with us!  Three Manjui men were recognized this month as pastors by the local body of believers in Paraguay.  The believers, who attended the ordination, sat in a circle around the church, which is their custom.  They listened as each tribal pastor spoke.   Two other men were to be ordained but because of rain were not able to make the trip home.

It has been a long journey seeing this body of believers come into the knowledge of Christ.  As with any church planting endeavor and spiritual growth of believers there are joys and sorrows, and this church is no different.

reecognizing elders 202During the service, others had opportunity to speak.  One man stood and encouraged believers to help those being ordained and others so that they could be sent out from their church into other like communities who still need to hear the gospel message.

We praise the Lord for the faithfulness of those who have labored many years with this people group, translating the Word of God into their language and seeing the body of believers mature.  What an act of love and service!

reecognizing elders 089 (2)We have served these missionaries and because you have partnered with us, YOU TOO have had a part in the birth and growth of this church.  Thank you!

Please remember to pray for these new elders as they spiritually lead this body of believers in the Word and in their walk with the Lord.
