{"id":155,"date":"2011-02-20T19:12:19","date_gmt":"2011-02-21T00:12:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/?p=155"},"modified":"2012-01-16T16:52:55","modified_gmt":"2012-01-16T21:52:55","slug":"all-can-be-crafty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/2011\/02\/20\/all-can-be-crafty\/","title":{"rendered":"All Can Be Crafty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">I<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-017.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-157 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-017-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"2011 - 1 017\" width=\"311\" height=\"237\" \/><\/a> recently hosted a Staff Lady \u2013 Girl Dormer Event where we just got together to have some fun!<\/p>\n<p>As the girls entered our home for what I had planned there were several comments ranging from, \u2018oh wow, I haven\u2019t done any crafts in a long time\u2019 to \u2026 \u2018I can\u2019t do this, I am not crafty \u2019.<\/p>\n<p>I was not letting anyone off the hook.\u00a0 The house rules were set \u2013 \u201cdo one or two greeting cards of your choice and then there will be snacks\u201d.\u00a0 Samples were laid out to help the creative juices flow.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">The girls had a choice of making a Birthday, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-015.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-156\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-015-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"2011 - 1 015\" width=\"224\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-015-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-015-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Just a<strong> <\/strong>Note, or a Hello card<\/span>.\u00a0 Then they added things that were die-cut like bugs, butterflies, fancy cupcake wrappers, a candle, yellow birds, or a gift box and bow.<\/p>\n<p>It was so awesome to see their hesitancy fall away as they began choosing things they liked.\u00a0 All of us are creative in some way so it was neat to give these girls this kind of an opportunity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-022.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-158 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jared-jantz\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-1-022-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"2011 - 1 022\" width=\"145\" height=\"145\" \/><\/a>And yes, they did get the promised snack!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for being a part of this ministry and investing in the lives of these students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently hosted a Staff Lady \u2013 Girl Dormer Event where we just got together to have some fun!
