\"\"Psalm 118:24<\/a> says, \u201cThis is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

I was reminded of this verse recently during the three weeks that I helped critique speeches for our Public Speaking class.\u00a0 I saw the nervousness of the students making those speeches and saw the facial expression of \u2026\u2019I\u2019ll be glad when this is over\u2019 \u2026 and, if I am being honest, I think I might have felt the same way!<\/p>\n

And again, when we were hit with an ice storm.\u00a0 It took a few days to clear the sidewalks, parking lots, and roads around the school and then we were hit with five inches of snow right after that!\u00a0 I don’t think Jared was rejoicing in the weather, but I know he was not complaining!<\/p>\n

I truly believe that each day is a gift from the Lord, but do I<\/u> rejoice in it; am I<\/u> glad in it?\u00a0 What about when things get hard or difficult?\u00a0 Do I only rejoice and am glad on the \u201cgood” days?\u00a0 I have learned that this attitude of rejoicing and being glad is a choice of the \u201cwill\u201d \u2013 I will or will not rejoice \u2013 I will or will not be glad.\u00a0 Oh, that I would choose more quickly to do what the Psalmist says!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
