FOR THERE IS ONE GOD AND ONE MEDIATOR ALSO BETWEEN GOD AND MEN, THE MAN CHRIST JUSES, WHO GAVE HIMSELF AS A RANSOM FOR ALL, THE TESTIMONY GIVEN AT THE PROPER TIME.
Christmas greetings!
The school semester is over and the students have all gone home. Meanwhile, we who live on school grounds, continue to work on upkeep and maintenance.
During the last couple of weeks Adriana and I have had to make a few trips into Manaus for doctor appointments and treatment. This involves getting a boat and outboard motor into the water, a 15 minute ride on the water, and finally a 45 minute or more ride through traffic—a big part of which is lane splitting and weaving motorcycles–plus the added attention required due to several potholes, and then the return, of course.
PRAY: Adriana’s back and neck problems. Pray that the physical therapy that she has started will be effective in relieving discomfort. Praise the Lord, she hasn’t experienced any debilitating pain.
We look forward to having our kids and first grand-daughter with us in January.
PRAY: Travel documents for our grand-daughter to arrive in time. Pray for travel mercies.
The on-going new high-school dorm project has been going slowly. We have not completely demolished the old building. We will continue to knock down walls and use the rubble to fortify the river bank, and fill low, muddy areas on the school grounds, between other more pressing smaller projects and emergencies. The project still lacks the necessary funds for construction—hence the lack of priority in tearing down the old building.
PRAY: Funds for the new dormitory project.
We appreciate your prayers and financial gifts! May you all have a blessed Christmas season in the Lord, celebrating and remembering our Mediator, the “Man Christ Jesus!
Jeffrey, Adriana, and Janyssa
