“Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make known his mighty power.” Ps 106:8
The first phase of the outreach to the ‘BA’ village is coming close to the end. In February, the Bible teachers from the home village and the first outreach village began to teach God’s Word to this small group of people in village ‘BA’. For the past few months they have laid a foundation of who God is and what He is like. They showed them, through Scripture, that they are sinners and are separated from the one and only God. They saw through the Old Testament that God promised to send the “kidaak aamna”, (the saving man), to pay for their sins. Now they are coming to the end of this initial teaching, bringing them from Creation to the Cross. On June 15th the believers will be doing a drama of the crucifixion and will explain that Jesus did this for this precious family group, living literally in the middle of nowhere. God has not forgotten them, and now is their time to hear what God has done for them!
- Pray for the people in village ‘BA’ that God will convict their hearts and they will come into a relationship with God through Christ. (The Gospel presentation will be next week Saturday, or Friday evening for those of you in the States.)
- Pray for the Bible teachers as they communicate Gods truth to the people in village ‘BA’.
- Pray for safety as Jordan, Judah and myself and our coworkers make the 4+ hour hike to village ‘BA’. The trail is really bad as there have been many landslides that have literally wiped the trails out.
(Note: We’ve been asked not to print the names of the villages in a public forum. However if you would like more specific information for prayer please contact us directly. Thank you.)
