Thank you all for your prayers, we’ve heard from many of you saying that you are bringing us before the Lord. Thank you!
The group of religious leaders that were planning on coming this last week hasn’t made it yet. We have heard rumors all week, some saying that they were to come within the next few days, others saying that they weren’t coming at all. But finally yesterday we heard on good authority that the group was held up because of community issues, but that they will begin their circuit next week. So we’ve been told that they should be here in our village either the end of next week or sometime the week after that. Please keep praying that God would use this to strengthen His church.
Even with the religious group not coming we’ve seen the church grow. Many people have been studying the Word so they will be able to answer whatever opposition may come at them. Please continue to pray that God will be glorified through His church here in Dinangat.
On a happier note… this morning I was walking in the village and a man came to me and told me that he had been looking for me and had something important to tell me. I could see that he was trembling so I was curious as to what he wanted to tell me. This man has heard the gospel, but hadn’t placed his faith in Christ as his personal Savior. In fact he has been very involved in spirit worship and heavily steeped in the thinking of the past. However today he came to me and told me that he wanted to tell me that he now believes that he is unable to save himself from his sin but that he believes that Christ took his place on the cross and died for his sins. What an absolute joy to hear his testimony! This is what it’s all about.
