It’s been quite a while since we’ve written a formal letter, but hopefully most of you have caught highlights and updates via our facebook page! As you know, we have\u00a0officially moved\u00a0out to our mission center in Goroka, and are using our house here as a platform for all the ministries we are engaged in while allowing our kids to live close to Numonohi Christian Academy.<\/p>\n
In\u00a0the summer Jeremiah was able to fly into Iski, a location where the Gospel was just recently presented and many more names added to the Kingdom! \u00a0Another missionary couple has joined this team to help shoulder the load of teaching, discipleship and translation, and we are privileged to be a part of helping this couple gain proficiency in the language through consultant work. \u00a0They are making good progress, but would you please pray for Seth and Rochelle Callanan? \u00a0Ask the Lord to strengthen and encourage them in this language learning phase of their ministry, it’s no easy task!<\/p>\n For us, the summer was spent working on translation while the kids worked on their own fundraising projects as well as helping with construction needs on the center. \u00a0Now they are entering their fourth week of school: Jordan is a Senior! Judah is a Sophomore, and Alayna is in fifth grade. \u00a0In the first week they held volleyball tryouts for the high school boys, a sport that Jordan and Judah have really enjoyed lately. \u00a0They both earned a spot on the team, and we will all head out this Saturday for the first tournament of the year. SO thankful to be able to support our kids and their teams in person this year!<\/p>\n In August, Jeremiah, with our coworkers Ralf and Gary headed into Dinangat for almost two weeks of translation checking with our helpers. \u00a0It was also a great time to touch base with the church and see how they are doing. \u00a0Jeremiah processed 727 verses with his translation helpers, Jaspa, Emma and Bunex! \u00a0Praise the Lord with us that the translation of His Word into this difficult language is progressing! In September, Ralf will meet with a consultant from the States to do the FINAL checks on Galatians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon! \u00a0Please PRAY for Ralf as he makes the final preparations for this check, and that it would go smoothly with the consultant and the 4 Dinangat helpers that will also fly out of the tribe for this.<\/p>\n * <\/strong>Pray for the Dinangat church! \u00a0They are struggling with their identity in Christ and the pressures to conform back to ‘religious routines’ versus focusing on their relationship with Him! \n*<\/strong> Praise the Lord for the progress in translation and ask Him to continue to strengthen and give wisdom as we seek to be faithful to His Word.
