However, our coworkers, the Smiths and Schlegels went in, and had great news to report. Here’s what Gary said. “While talking with some of the bible teachers, asking them about how the former outreach church group is doing, they said it’s going really well. Oh, and by the way, they are doing an outreach. Wait, WHAT?! Seriously?! Yes! Didn’t ask us anything or for any help, they just saw the need and went for it. They did ask for prayer. So please pray for this. Village M is still not open yet.
What happened was the 3rd outreach village, that became a church in 2013, had a major wind storm that damaged many of the houses. So the people decided to move to another place that wasn’t as susceptible to the wind (they were right on a ridge top). Well this new place had people living in it already, and as the believers interacted with them, they asked if they could hear this message! I think that time God was in the great wind! (1 Kings 19:11)” Thank You, Holy Spirit, for the work You are doing through your church in Dinangat! Please bring many more souls to your Kingdom!

Summer Traveling
As we mentioned in our last newsletter, Jordan and Sarah are expecting baby #2, and we planned a quick trip back to the US to welcome Baby Girl to the family as well as deal with some medical issues. At the same time, Jeremiah’s parents were in the middle of a major house renovation when Dad ran into some trouble with his leg and would be unable to do a lot of the work. With some built up time for leave, as well as the ability to do a lot of work remotely, we decided Jeremiah would head home a few weeks ahead of Alayna and I. In the last few weeks, along with his regular translation work, Jeremiah made 2 trips into the newest church plant site to help with house building, made a consultant trip to Kovol, then headed to the US to help with his parents’ house. He’s been able to do a few translation sessions in the States as well. I wrapped up my first year as the grade 11 Bible teacher, and packed up our house to move over to our other mission center to be closer to the school. Alayna stretched her wings into a new skill: playing a major role in the school play, then wrapped up her junior year with excellent marks. She and I reunited with Jeremiah and the family in the States 2 weeks ago and have been enjoying the blessing of “togetherness” while expectantly waiting for Baby Girl, due 2nd week of July!

<figure class="wp-block-image
