Mandy and I are in our second week of phonetics and everyone loves to talk about our Southern accent! For the rest of the semester we will learn new sounds everyday until we have learned every sound that the human mouth can make.
We are learning how to correctly hear and say these sounds so that we can recognize them when, one day, we will start from scratch and try to learn a language that has never been written down. We are doing this because we believe it is God’s desire that every language have His Word in it.Did you know that there are over 2,500 people groups that don’t have one word from God written down in their language?
