Asking Others to Join

April 21, 2012 by Jeremy and Mandy Hambrice

Mo-bi-lize – To prepare and organize others for active service.

When it comes to missions, the term mobilization isn’t one that many are familiar with, but it has to do with challenging, encouraging, and preparing followers of Christ to join God in what He’s doing among all tongues, tribes, and nations. This usually involves sharing what God’s Word says about His mission, what God’s world looks like today, and how they can be involved by praying, giving, sending, mobilizing, and/or going.

Mandy and I have a great opportunity on Sunday, April 29 with other New Tribers here at the Missionary Training Center (MTC) to challenge about 500 collegeĀ studentsĀ at New Heights Church in Fayetteville, AR to join God by considering career church planting with New Tribes Mission. George Walker, a dynamic teacher here at the MTC who planted churches in Papua New Guinea for 20 years, will be the keynote speaker on Sunday morning and we will join him for a panel discussion and questions from the audience on Sunday night with those college students. We are very excited about this opportunity.

The Lord told us to “pray EARNESTLY to the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Matt 9:38).”

Would you pray earnestly that He would do exactly that this weekend?
