We have some very exciting news! God provided 100% of the funds that were necessary for the upcoming literacy workshop!!! Thanks to everyone who joined us in prayer and gifts. There is rejoicing all throughout Latin America as everyone who was supposed to be at the workshop will now be able to attend. What a miracle and confirmation from God that He intends to do some very great things!<\/p>\n

Meet the team…\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

So as we think of the team that is working together on this project, let us introduce you to some fellow team members: the computer team! An international computer team is collaborating to produce a program that is way better than the one we have been using to analyze the language data and help us write literacy books in the different languages. Their ministry through computer programing will set every missionary team working on literacy months ahead in the Lord\u2019s work! We appreciate their dedication and partnership on the team. From the bottom of our hearts, thanks Rand and all!<\/p>\n

Please pray with us for:<\/span><\/h2>\n

  • Wisdom<\/span>: before the workshop we will be meeting with the missionary teams working in the different languages there in Colombia. Pray for wisdom to determine where they are in the literacy process and how to best move forward. We desire to leave clear steps for each team.<\/li>\n
  • Preparations<\/span>: then we will have several days to purchase supplies and make sure that everything is ready for the workshop.<\/li>\n
  • Literacy Consultant Workshop<\/span>:\u00a0There are eleven coming from all over Latin America.<\/li>\n
  • Writing primers<\/span>:\u00a0missionary teams and local people from two language groups\u00a0join us to put into practice what we\u2019ve been learning in the consultant workshop. The consultant team from all over Latin America will use the new computer program to help write the literacy course books for these groups. Bible translations and lessons are being worked on in these languages, but very few people can read. So these materials will be the tool that gives the people the first access to the Word of God in their language! How exciting is that???<\/li>\n
  • Health, stamina and joyful hearts<\/span>: for us and all the participants. We will be working long hours, taking the most advantage of the time we have together. We\u2019ll all be staying together in a guesthouse so life will be crazy and full.<\/li>\n
