On the Home Stretch

December 10, 2010 by Jevon and Danica Rich

We are on the home stretch of our last semester in the church planting course.  Every day that brings Christmas closer also brings graduation closer; we will be finished on December 22.  (You are all invited to the ceremony, by the way.  Give us a call if you think you can make it.  🙂 )
These last couple of weeks we have been busy with membership paperwork and interviews, as well as our normal classes.  Hopefully we will be accepted; (no kidding, right, after all this?) then we will become members of New Tribes Mission on January 1.
But…we are not done with MTC yet.  Our tentative plan is to come back next semester for some specialized training.  Jevon will be taking the Advanced Missionary Technology course, while Danica takes the Linguistics Course.

As for Christmas plans: Jevon’s family will be gathering here with us in Missouri!  We are even more excited about this than normal, since it will be our first Christmas with his parents.  Usually they are far away in the jungle.

After Christmas we plan on making a trip up to Wisconsin for two weeks before school starts again.  Hopefully we can see as many of you as possible, and worship with Salem January 2nd and 9th.

We love you all and look forward to being with you.

–Danica for the Rich family

Please pray for us as we wrap up the semester, that we will stay engaged and finish strong.

We are so thankful for our time here and for all God has taught us through the lives and instruction of our teachers.
