Almost There

September 4, 2012 by Jevon and Danica Rich

We have FOUR days left and then we leave for Brazil!  While we are scrambling to stay on top of an ever-growing list of details that have to be taken care of and goodbyes that need to be said, our hearts are full of thanks to the God who has brought us this far! Our departure is a testimony to His faithfulness.

Praise God with us:

  • for His faithfulness
  • for the love and tangible help that we’ve been given as people are getting really involved in our preparations to go
  • for sweet goodbyes with our sending church, Salem Baptist Church, on Sunday, and sweet goodbyes with many more close friends in Eau Claire yesterday at the Kleven’s house
  • for an airline with very good baggage allowance

Pray for us:

  • as we try to get everything done
  • that Jevon and I will be gracious to each other and the kids (we are a little over-emotional these days)
  • that God would prepare our hearts and the kids for the huge changes that are coming
  • that we will have a good flight and no trouble going through customs in Brasilia Saturday morning

Your next update from us will probably be from Manaus, Amazonas in Brasil!

Love,

Danica for the Riches

Cali and Karina enjoying some cozy time with Marilyn…gotta fill up on Marilyn-time while they can.

Playing with airport sticker books and coloring books from Grandma Studtmann has been a great way for the girls to feel prepared for new experiences:
