Natação

August 18, 2013 by Jevon and Danica Rich

We are super thankful for the opportunity the girls have had to be in swimming lessons here in our little town.  Not only has it been valuable for them to get the experience in the water with instruction and consistent practice, but it has also been good for them to get the social experience – becoming a part of a new group of kids in an environment where mom and dad aren’t there to help or translate.  It helps that they already had two friends in the group when they started.  They also get to learn to trust a teacher, and to follow some basic water-related instructions in Portuguese (“everybody on your backs”, “faces in the water”, etc.)  And besides…its fun!  Every week they look forward to Tuesday and Thursday swimming.
