\u201cEven though I grew up a missionary\u2019s kid, I wasn\u2019t really interested in being a missionary myself until I discovered Christ\u2019s life-transforming power in my own life.\u00a0 When Romans 6 revealed to me the freedom I have to live for Him instead of being a slave to sin, I wanted to share that freedom with those whom I saw around me who were growing up in captivity.\u00a0 I began to see it as my responsibility to obey Christ in carrying His liberating truth to others.\u201d\u00a0 -Jevon<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was only four years old, God graciously revealed to me the fact that I was a sinner in need of a Savior.\u00a0 The joy I had in knowing my Savior made me decide, at that young age, that someday I was going to be a missionary, taking the news of Him to people who had little chance of hearing it.\u00a0 As a high schooler, I wavered in that decision.\u00a0 There were a lot of other ideas that looked attractive to me.\u00a0 But I became convinced that if I pursued happiness in my own fleeting plans, it would always escape me.\u00a0 If I pursued God as my greatest treasure, and built my life around His plans and purposes, I would find what I was pursuing.\u201d\u00a0 -Danica<\/p>\n

Now we have the privilege of working together to reach indigenous people of Northwest Brazil with the Truth that transformed our lives.\u00a0\u00a0 Currently we are learning culture and language with the goal of effectively communicating that Truth.\u00a0 Our desire is to share with them the knowledge of the Savior who can free them from slavery to sin in order that they may pursue Him, the true and lasting treasure.\u00a0 He alone is worthy of all our lives and worship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
