A lot of you were praying for us to find a place to rent quickly, and we did!\u00a0 We are already moved in and we are convinced that this place is a perfect provision from God to us.\u00a0 Our upstairs apartment came furnished with a stove, fridge, washing machine, two beds, tables, chairs, couches, and even an AC unit in each bedroom (which is a blessing because it does not cool off at night in Manaus).\u00a0 We expected to spend a few weeks looking for a place, and then researching and buying a stove, fridge, and other necessities.\u00a0 All we did was buy a desk, a cabinet with a countertop for workspace beside the stove, and a couple hammocks.\u00a0 The girls are thrilled to take turns sleeping in the one bed and the hammock in their room; their turn in the hammock is the night they look forward to.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 And Isaiah is quite content to be rocked in a hammock instead of a rocking chair.\u00a0 He still sleeps in his pack n’ play.\u00a0 This apartment also came with a water cooler and empty jugs (we can’t drink city water so we bring our water from the mission house which has a well), and gas tanks for the stove.<\/p>\n

The location of the apartment is also a provision from God; it is nicely situated between the two mission properties where we will be doing alot of our language sessions, so we can walk to either one during the daytime.\u00a0 It is also 3 blocks from a grocery store and…yes…it gets better…
\n1 block from a church with a Brazilian Awana program!\u00a0 For all of you who were also praying for our involvement in a church in Manaus, this may be the answer from God.<\/p>\n

Having all this taken care of so quickly means we can settle down and focus on what we came to do – learn a language and embrace a new culture!<\/p>\n
