Thanksgiving is not a Brazilian holiday, but we celebrated it anyways, with one American friend and four Brazilian friends.\u00a0 We had Brazilian lombo recheado com calabresa instead of turkey.\u00a0 Alfredo prepared it for us and it was delicious.\u00a0 But it’s not which kind of food that makes it a Thanksgiving meal, right?\u00a0 It’s eating together and being thankful that makes it a Thanksgiving meal.<\/p>\n

We started the meal with an empty table and only five kernels of corn on each plate while Jevon told a story in both English and Portuguese.\u00a0 And then we ate together.<\/p>\n

for our family<\/p>\n

for the food on our table<\/p>\n

and a home to eat it in<\/p>\n

for the friends who are with us<\/p>\n

and for the friends who are not,<\/p>\n

but thank You, most of all, for your Son.<\/p>\n

Because most of all we needed a Savior.<\/p>\n
