DOM TRANSLATION PROGRESS

August 21, 2012 by James and Judy Burdett

Jim continues to make progress with translation. This is the lineup as of now.

Mark, Acts, Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thes., 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2, & 3 John and Jude are totally done until the final read through.

In October, James and Matthew will be checked by a Translation consultant.

Hebrews and Philemon are almost ready for the Translation consultant check. Jim and I need to go through them and the Back to English (BTE) to make sure it is all there.

John and Revelation are translated but he needs to start the comprehension checking with at least 2 Dom speakers to make sure it is communicating what it is supposed to. Then he will do the Back To English and he and I will do the content check.

Luke is done on his part except he is waiting for Matthew to be checked so he can compare afterwards. Then it can be in the lineup for the Translation consultant check.

It has been a long road, but the end is in sight though for so long it was like a mirage. We are so thankful to Gena who God provided as he has been so instrumental in this translation plus all the ones who helped in the checking. Pray for faithful comprehension checkers for the final books.

Projected date of printing is sometime during our Home Assignment in 2014.
