Praise the Lord our coworkers, Gerolf and Mailis Wuest and baby Richard are here at last. One of the support staff from field headquarters drove them to the landslide and we carried their supplies over it to our pickup truck and then down to here where our houses are. It almost went off without a hitch but some of the locals over there (fellow Dom tribesmen but from a different clan) squeezed us for money to be allowed to “karim kago” – carry the cargo over the landslide. Yes it is as unfair as it sounds but that is how things work here. But we are so thankful to have them here at last. Gerolf and Mailis will soon be settled in and then the task of language learning will begin. Please pray for them as they do the hard work of language study trusting the Lord who led them here.
