June 20, 2013 by James and Judy Burdett

We had a restful two-week break. It was a bit of a working break actually but a relaxed one. We both also took the opportunity for doctor appointments, supply buying and the like.

We also thank the Lord for the provision of new tires for our truck. Two thirds of the amount was provided by the generosity of fellow missionaries and the remainder out of our regular support. These tires will be a great help for getting back and forth on our difficult mountain road.

Pray for our co-workers, Gerolf and Mailis, as they undertake to learn the Dom language and culture. It is a long, hard process.

Appreciate continued prayer for our children and grandchildren. Brian and Terra with their two boys like Boise, ID where they moved a few months ago. Both have work at the moment. Heather and Darren stay busy with school, church and work, though they both have taken the summer off of school. Appreciate prayer for Ilai. He is discouraged at times. Pray for his daughter Kelli that she would come to know the Lord. She is now 12.

Sadly one of our long time Dom friends and a key Christian brother in our little church here is upset at Jim over what is a misunderstanding but he refuses to talk about it as of yet. Jim appealed to him that this is merely a misunderstanding on the other brother’s part and it could be resolved if he would just talk about it. But this brother is angry and will not even listen to us for now. Please pray that the Lord will work in all hearts and bring about reason and reconciliation. It is somewhat resolved now, but not all the way. Keep praying!
