Dile, our cancer patient

November 8, 2016 by James and Judy Burdett

Please continue to pray for Dile.  He is still able to drink very thin soup so we are making him drinks of sweet potatoes, beans, pumpkin and chicken.  Helps his stomach to feel fuller and is more pleasant than just broth.  Jim and Gerolf continue to go over every day, taking turns, to read scripture to him.  He tried to take literacy many years ago, but just found it too difficult so he cannot read scripture on his own.  But last year Martin Lamb came as we were not able to be here and the Wuests were also on Home Assignment, so he gave out the Bibles.  Dile wanted one.

So you know who you are praying for, here are a couple of pictures of Dile. In the first picture, Dile is on the right. This was at the dedication and he helped carry one of the boxes of Bibles.  The one of him holding the Bible was in July 2015.

Dile has 4 sons and 3 daughters.  His wife died a few years ago from cancer complications. We know for sure that two of his sons are believers.  The oldest is and he has promised his father that he would not allow any talk or any action regarding his death being caused by someone working poison on him.  So please pray that that will remain so.  Dile has asked that only our Christian community attend his funeral so that there are not any problems.  He is going downhill fast so appreciate your prayer for comfort for him and for his family.  Also for us as we have known Dile for 30 years or so.
