Most of Judy’s students are sticking with it but some have fallen away. Now is a busy time for the women in particular as they are busy planting their new gardens. This particular literacy class is important because we are testing a revised orthography (way of spelling words) that we hope will improve our literacy level among the Dom people and encourage Bible reading. Judy is thankful for the help of two women who have been faithful to come.

Last December we revised our literacy course, creating new primers and readers. So far the results have been much improved from before. We are grateful to Lori Morley for her help in all of this as we knew our old primers had issues but did not know where to go.

Please pray with us that the students will continue to come and not give up. They were warned that it would take up 5 months of their time for a couple of hours in the afternoon. We look forward to more good readers who desire to read the Dom Scriptures.

Judy has started a new Dom literacy class and already the distractions of Dom life have kept some of them away from classes.
