{"id":356,"date":"2014-10-16T09:31:54","date_gmt":"2014-10-16T13:31:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jim-burdett\/?p=356"},"modified":"2014-10-16T09:33:34","modified_gmt":"2014-10-16T13:33:34","slug":"october-praise-prayer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jim-burdett\/2014\/10\/16\/october-praise-prayer\/","title":{"rendered":"October Praise &#038; Prayer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Praise:<br \/>\nFor safety in traveling many miles<\/p>\n<p>For great visits with family and many friends<\/p>\n<p>For finishing all we had to do with the Dom NT preparation, now in the hands of our folk at Sanford who do the formatting.<\/p>\n<p>For the month of September that we had reading through the Dom New Testament two times finding many corrections.<\/p>\n<p>For two new Bible teachers Bapka and Martin who have been doing great so far. pray that they would continue to grow in their ability to teach; that they would walk closely with the Lord.<\/p>\n<p>Praise that the Simbu Ladies Conference November 2014 preparations are as far as they are at this point of time and that there is a core group of believers who have taken responsibility to make sure that everything will get ready. (Our church at Iraulabol is hosting the annual Simbu area Ladies Conference).<\/p>\n<p>Praise for those at the Buala Maule Outreach who are hungry for the Word of God and for Gena\u2019s continued eagerness and faithfulness in teaching the people.<\/p>\n<p>Pray<\/p>\n<p>That we can see the mistakes in the Dom NT and get them corrected before printing. We need to read through it at least one more time when we get back to California in November. Pray for some decisions that we still need to make regarding the printing of the Dom New Testament.<\/p>\n<p>For our partners, Gerolf and Mailis Wuest, as they hold the fort and continue in Culture and Language study.<\/p>\n<p>For the Dom Christians, that they would seek to do God\u2019s will in their lives. There is a lot of conflict and disunity among themselves. Pray that they would learn to practice grace towards others.<\/p>\n<p>For Martin and Bapka,\u00a0\u00a0that they would continue to grow in their ability to teach; that they would walk closely with the Lord.<\/p>\n<p>Pray for the two speakers \u2013 one of our NTM missionaries, Fiona Emery\u00a0and Malsi Devit from Elimbari and the messages that they are going to share. Pray for God\u2019s work in the hearts of those who will attend, and that there would be enough food for the participants and dry weather.<\/p>\n<p>Continue to pray for the\u00a0Outreach\/Church in Buala Maule, Gena is presently teaching Phase\u00a01 for the second time. Will be finished in November and the plan is to continue with Kos 2.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please pray that a big heavy\u00a0in a family of several new believers could get resolved, for Wisdom for Gena as he tries to help them, and for the Lord\u2019s work in the hearts of both the new believers and those who haven\u2019t trusted in Christ yet.<\/p>\n<p>Pray for continued safety as we continue to travel, arriving back in California, Lord willing, on November 11.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Praise: For safety in traveling many miles For great visits with family and many friends For finishing all we had to do with the Dom NT preparation, now in the hands of our folk at Sanford who do the formatting.
