Grandmas

August 21, 2015 by Joanna K Jansma

One thing that often amazes the Nagi is that we actually know who are grandparents are! A lot of Nagi don’t remember their grandparents as they died when they were young.

We have been spending a lot of the time in the village with Grandma Okvinim. And it does often bring back good memories of my own grandparents that I am blessed to remember!

Grandma Okvinim is also hearing the teaching and asking some good questions as she compares it to everything else she had known her whole life. Was cool last week to listen to her talking with her granddaughter, Iwonib, as they looked at teaching pictures about what they were learning.

Grandma was amazed by all her young granddaughter knew! I couldn’t help but think how neat it will be if one day they both become part of a new family!
