{"id":234,"name":"Jody and Barbara Crain","url":"","description":"April 3, 1978, Jody &amp; Barbara moved to the Philippine Islands to preach the gospel and plant churches among the Southern Tagbanwa tribe. They teamed up with two other families to reach the Tagbanwa tribe, and together they engaged in culture and language acquisition (CLA), evangelism, church planting, medical &amp; dental programs, Bible translation and community development. Today, nearly 2,000 Tagbanwa tribal believers meet regularly in 21 village churches to worship the true and living God!\r\nThey turned over their tribal church planting ministry to the Tagbanwa church leaders in 1999 to become field director of the NTM Philippines team of 150+ missionaries in their church planting efforts among 17 tribes. Then, in 2009, they established a new organization, Assist Network International, with a long term vision to help church planters establish a long term presence in restricted access areas of Asia through businesses. Currently Jody is actively involved in the following ministries: \r\n\r\n\u2022\tCo-Director of an international non-profit organization that engages business leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, and cross-cultural consultants committed to seeing thriving, healthy communities and families among underdeveloped minority peoples of Asia. We do this by connecting developmental resources with Asia\u2019s marginalized people groups in the areas of:  Sustainable Business, Community Development, and Crisis Response.\r\n\r\n\u2022\tDirector of the Tagbanwa Training Center (TTC) - The TTC is a one year discipleship and model farm training program in Palawan, Philippines. The TTC seeks to impact some 13,000 Tagbanwa tribal members living in isolated, food-poor and educationally deprived areas of Palawan through its one year training program. Students learn by classroom instruction and hands-on involvement. They are given the tools to re-shape their communities through improving agriculture and animal husbandry techniques, living conditions, personal and community health, and Bible understanding for equipping the next generation of Tagbanwa church planters. Jody\u2019s role is vision casting, resource acquisition and ministry accountability for the TTC staff and board.\r\n\r\n\u2022\tInternational Coordinator of Ethnos360\u2019s Culture &amp; Language Acquisition Coordination Team (CLACT) - The CLACT oversees Ethno360\u2019s international CLA program development and training of consultants. The CLACT gives direction and training to Ethnos360 training centers, field leadership teams and consultants in all areas of CLA.
