\"Ricardo's<\/a>Many years ago, Joe took this beautiful photo of our good friend and former neighbor, Ricardo’s wife,\u00a0who recently died in the remote tribal village.\u00a0 But we learned of this through an email from Teobaldo, who was just a friendly little\u00a0toddler when we first moved into the village in 1981!\u00a0 While\u00a0Teobaldo was still a boy,\u00a0 he heard the Bible lessons and trusted Christ as his Savior.\u00a0 Now he\u00a0serves the Lord\u00a0fulltime on the Kuna Old Testament translation team, living in the City area\u00a0with his wife and children.\u00a0 Sometimes we even get cell phone calls from Teobaldo, and other Kuna friends!\u00a0\u00a0He let us know\u00a0that the translation team is on their third\u00a0complete review\u00a0of the entire Kuna Old Testament!\u00a0\u00a0And, in the overall revision of\u00a0the Kuna New Testament, first\u00a0distributed in 1996, Teobaldo\u00a0will be working\u00a0on\u00a0the Gospel of John.\u00a0\u00a0He’s praying for us, and asks prayer for the village church leaders\u00a0as they send\u00a0some believers to live in an upriver village, to be able to teach the Bible lessons there.\u00a0 Some other believers plan to travel\u00a0the long distance to the even more remote villages, in order to encourage and fellowship with the Kuna believers there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
