Easter

April 18, 2015 by Joel and Andi

Easter was a wonderful time for us this year.  It was just pure joy to celebrate this holiday at church, then with our family and finally to share our celebration with our neighbors.  It was an added joy this year to celebrate both Cecil’s and Cindy’s Birthday on the same day.  Here are some pictures of our wonderful Celebration.

Our celebration started at church with a Sunrise service

Such a good time with the family of God

Straight from there we headed out to the village to begin meal preparations

Cecil was already there hard at work

We prepared both chicken and meat

And of course lots of sauce

I was in charge of the plate arrangement

Joel brought out our neighbors, who came to celebrate the day with us

I never would have imagined be as comfortable here as we are and these two are a huge part of the reason

We consider them parents and they call us there kids

They have made us part of their family, a blessing beyond belief

We do everything together as one family

We might look like a strange family, but what a testimony of the true gift we have in Christ

After the meal we went to visit those in the village we know

Our boys came right around with us and had a blast chasing chickens and hunting pidgeons

Arm wrestling with friends

And just having a great old time
Let’s be honest, they had a great time
Finally we came back to celebrate these two wonderful ladies birthdays

What a great day it was.  We have so much to celebrate.  God has done so much in our lives and we hope that our lives continue to be an example of transformation he has made in us.  The Lord is Risen!

It is so reassuring that you and your family are enjoying your ministry. May God be praised for the Christian family you have found in Senegal, including Cindy & Bruce. What many blessings that come down from the Father of Light!

Okay….. that was just plain fun to read and see the pictures. It made me smile just observing and picturing you all enjoying yourselves. But most of all…. I could just hear Cindy laughing in my mind. Her chuckle always makes me giggle. If I got that much enjoyment out of just observing through pic’s…. I can only imagine how much Our Father enjoyed seeing and hearing you celebrating His Son’s special day of hope.
    Well done Andi!

    Dear Andi,
Ditto everything Jeannette said. We just LOVE to read your blogs and see the great pictures of everything God is doing in and through your lives.
    He is risen indeed!
