A Nanny<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome Katie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We were all very excited to welcome Katie (a friend from our home church) to Africa this week. \u00a0Although it was a rough first couple of days for her battling jet lag, Katie has already been a tremendous help. \u00a0It is great having some extra help around the house and she is eager to learn and experience as much as she can while she is here with us. \u00a0In her first week alone she traveled out the village with us, ate her first Senegalese meal, learned some French and\u00a0experienced\u00a0her first bugs. \u00a0We know that she will be a tremendous help to us these next six months. \u00a0We pray also that God would use us and this time to shape and guide Katie as she explores what life holds for her next.<\/p>\n

Our kids are enjoying their new friend<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
It is going to be a great 6 months!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Treats!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Katie’s bags brought us so many treats. \u00a0It was like Christmas around here with blessings for each of us, including mine and Tyler’s birthday presents.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
For my birthday I got a new tablet that allows me to have all my recipes with me in the kitchen and listen to music while I cook. IT IS AWESOME!!!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Evergreen Bible Church laminated pictures for us to put up on the wall. Now we have pictures all around our house to remind us of family and friends.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
There were so many other treats as well like snacks, cinnamon, mac and cheese, good tasting medicine and SO MUCH MORE!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Rest<\/strong><\/p>\n

We left Dakar and headed home a day early so that we could unpack and get something done around the house. \u00a0I never realized how relaxing it would be to be home when NO ONE KNEW WE WERE THERE. \u00a0We got so much done around the house, got rest and felt so refreshed heading into this week. \u00a0It was just what we needed.<\/p>\n

It was great to have a break and a chance to get things done around the house<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Yes we change a light buld by putting a stool on top or a chair<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A New Start<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week we started back up our "normal" routine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
School for Ethan and French lessons for us<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
But we went into the week feeling more refreshed than we have in a long time. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thank you God for all you brought us this week!<\/strong><\/p>\n
