Yesterday was African Mother’s day. \u00a0Usually the ladies of the two churches in town gather to celebrate together, but this year they decided to head out to a village church and celebrate with the women out there. \u00a0It was a sacrifice for many as they left their comfort zone and tried to cross multiple barriers to connect with other believers. \u00a0They gave up the relaxation of home to enter into another world. \u00a0As everywhere, there are many things that divide people here: village life vs. town, language groups, education level and cultures and family back grounds. \u00a0These are never easier barriers to cross, but yesterday I saw those barriers being crossed. \u00a0I know that God was smiling as He saw his people uniting together. \u00a0It was powerful beyond words…Glory to God!<\/p>\n

We drove 2 hours to visit this small village church<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Life here is very different<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
The day began with separation...The women from the village on one side and the women from our town on the other side<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Yet as the day went on those barriers began to come down<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Pretty soon they were dancing side by side (one woman from the village with one from the town)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Yes, we ALL did (or attempted)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
We sang together<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
In three different languages<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Heard truth from God's word in Two languages<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Prayed for each other<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
And of course shared a bowl of food together<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
It was only the beginning<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
But it was an exciting beginning worth rejoicing over<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
I am praying that God will continue to work in this small church and help them to grow.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
