Last night there were huge winds that swept across our small town. The doors in our house slammed open and shut and dust swirled everywhere. \u00a0It was a clear marker of the rains that will soon come to our town. \u00a0It was hard to sleep with all the noise of the sandstorm taking place. \u00a0However it also represented for me some of the battles we are facing in life right now. \u00a0Just recently we were introduced to another new believer at our church. \u00a0He is a man who was saved from deep inside the pit, but there are many who would like him to back in that pit. \u00a0They are working very hard to drag him back in through many different ceremonies and rituals. \u00a0In fact they dedicated 7 days to exactly that. \u00a0It is like we are standing next to him while a huge storm hits. \u00a0Yet how to you battle the wind that you can see, but can’t physically touch. \u00a0It is quite overwhelming and we are often unsure where to even step. \u00a0However one thing is clear, it draws us to our knees in prayer. \u00a0It is only God who has the power to command the winds of the storm. \u00a0So that is what we are doing. \u00a0We are praying and are fasting. \u00a0We are coming together as a body of believers every night over these seven days to pray by his side. \u00a0Praying that somehow God will protect us and the fragile new believer through the storms that surround us. \u00a0We would appreciate any who would pray alongside for this man and for the small body of believers who are making an effort to stand next to him through the storm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
