Who Came<\/strong><\/p>\n

This past weekend I went to Women's retreat for the women of our town and the villages around us<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
There were 56 women present<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
For the first time we had women present from each of the village churches around us<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Also for the first time the women from the village out numbered the ones from town<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Each women came with their stories and hardships<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Many of their stories were heartbreaking<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
But God brought us together so that we could encourage eachother<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Teaching<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
The teaching was solid and practical, which for me was very encouraging to see<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
The speakers shared from their personal experience and God's word about how to live out our faith in our marriage and family<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
They were challenged to look at the traditions and fears they face in light of God's truth<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
The teaching was done in the village language and challenged the thinking of many who were there<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
The women learned while there how to make soap<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Then we all made soap together<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Working side by side<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Eating and Sleeping<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
We slept on mats next to eachother<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
We ate together around common bowls<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Prepared for us faithfully by these two women<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Over one fire rain or shine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

God Did Amazing Things This Weekend!<\/strong><\/p>\n

2-5 women came from each of the village churches around us, but many live in isolation without anyone there to mentor or encourage them. \u00a0You can only imagine what an encouragement this time was for them. \u00a0They returned home back to their normal lives, but I pray that the encouragement they received this weekend will give them the strength they need to keep pressing forward in their faith.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
