Rise and Fall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week gradually built up in temperature, until it reached its height on\u00a0Wednesday\u00a0and Thursday. \u00a0Those days and nights were hot. \u00a0We felt like doing nothing during the day and then in the evening we just tried to get comfortable to sleep. \u00a0I finally wet a towel and laid that on my pillow to help cool down my head long enough to fall asleep. \u00a0These days were hard a time, even knowing that the rain was coming to cool things down.<\/p>\n<p>Friday the rain came and it felt glorious! \u00a0It didn&#8217;t actually rain all that much, but it was enough to bring the temperature down. \u00a0It is on these days that life here seems livable. \u00a0On one of these afternoons, to get out of the house, we headed down to the alley way with our baseballl and bat. \u00a0We immediately had a crowed a kids who wanted to play with the ball or just watch the action. \u00a0It was fun seeing how we can start building relationships once we have some language. \u00a0There were two or three moms watching from behind the walls that I hope to be able to get to know once I can talk to them. \u00a0All the kids wanted to touch Tyler and many tried to pick him up. \u00a0He was a great sport about it, but after a while found shelter at my side. \u00a0The next time we head down, I will make sure to bring the camera so we can share pictures.<\/p>\n<p>The next few days are supposed to be cool, but I know the heat will rise again. \u00a0I am trying to learn how to hold on to the hope of the rain during the hard times. \u00a0The hot days are miserable, but they are temporary and will end. \u00a0Remembering that is important to keeping perspective on life and not getting discouraged. \u00a0I thank God every time he
