Yesterday I met with our language consultant and he said that I have reached the needed level of French! \u00a0Woot!!!!<\/p>\n

After 2 years of work it was kinda surreal to hear these words. \u00a0There were moments on this journey that I thought this moment might not ever come and yet it was finally here. \u00a0This of course doesn’t mean that I have finished French, as I will always need to strive to develop my French, but that I am no longer required to keep up a certain number of language sessions and we can move on into ministry together. \u00a0It is true that ministry has already begun for us, but without 5 hours of language sessions a day, this opens up a whole new world of options. \u00a0Together, we decided that I will do some language session in February to strengthen some aspects of grammar (specifically gender…whose great language idea was that anyways :)), but after that I will stop official sessions. \u00a0It works out great as it will give me a month of recovery time and time to pray and seek God as we have some decisions about our ministry to start making alongside our leadership team. \u00a0We have an idea what is ahead around the corner, but there are still many questions left to be answered. \u00a0We are trusting God to reveal those answers in time and for the moment we are all enjoying the time of calm after some draining months.<\/p>\n

Conference<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last week Joel and I helped in the organization of a mini field conference. \u00a0It was a week of training on Curriculum development and it was so great to see so many members of our field all together, which rarely happens. \u00a0Becca, Joel’s sister, came to run the kids program. \u00a0It was hard work, but the kids had a blast. \u00a0Here are a few pictures of the fun me had.<\/p>\n

We had 25 kids in the program<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We divided the kids into two groups...3 and 4 year olds<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
And older than 4<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
It was a memorable time for these kids as fellowship in English is rare for most of them<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Plus we had the greatest leader out there (as any who have worked with her would testify!)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
We sang together<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Read Stories<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Did crafts<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Learned about the trinity<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Danced<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
And had loads of fun!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\"<\/a>
I want to especially thank Evergreen Bible Church who provided all the supplies for the crafts and the shirts<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The week was a lot of work, but those smiles made it all worth it!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
