Thank You For Your Prayers<\/strong><\/p>\n

God really answered our prayers this week. \u00a0It was a difficult weekend as we worked through sickness and prepared for Ethan to go to school. \u00a0I find that sickness always makes me miss the comforts of my home even more than usual. \u00a0There were moments that I wondered if the misery would ever end, but it did. \u00a0Tuesday I was able to go back to class for 2 hours and by Thursday I was feeling close to normal. \u00a0So far no one else has shown any signs of getting what I had and I am praising God for that! \u00a0This was a difficult week, but we feel glad to have made it through the week and are looking forward to the weekend.<\/p>\n

Daily Routine<\/strong><\/p>\n

We now feel like things have settled and we have a better picture of what our daily routine looks like here:<\/p>\n

Ethan’s School <\/strong>– Ethan gets up at 6 and heads off to school\u00a0 He arrives home around 1:30.\u00a0 So far the school has been everything we could have hoped for.\u00a0 He is learning some French.\u00a0 He has already told us about the differences in the French alphabet and he has learned the days of the week.\u00a0 Some of it is boring for him, but he is willing to go.\u00a0\u00a0He has one friend there that he rides the\u00a0bus with everyday, but I am praying that he will have a friend\u00a0in his class someday.<\/p>\n

Our French School<\/strong> – After dropping Ethan off for the bus and picking up bread for the day, we head off to our own French Class. \u00a0We are in class from 8-1. \u00a0It has been amazing what we have been able to accomplish in a short amount of time. \u00a0We have missed 2 and half days because of sickness but are still already up to over 400 words. \u00a0It is amazing for me thinking about what I knew in French only 2 weeks ago and what I am able to understand now. \u00a0There is still a long way to go and it is a lot of work, but it is nice to be able to see the progress so quickly.<\/p>\n

Pretend Cooking \ud83d\ude42<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Afternoon<\/strong> – Ethan gets home around 1:30 and we all have lunch. \u00a0The afternoon is the most flexible part of our day. \u00a0It is the time that we use to get the things we need done, rest, and practice French. \u00a0It seems like we never run short on things that need to get done. \u00a0We have learned quickly how long it takes to do everything here. \u00a0Even a simple task like grocery shopping is made difficult by the quantity of different stores and markets that you must go to. \u00a0We now have a large freezer which will help, because I can buy in larger\u00a0quantities\u00a0and not have to go as frequently.<\/p>\n

The Evening<\/strong> – Dinner prep usually starts around 4. \u00a0After dinner it is time to clean up, bathe the boys, read to them and put them to bed. \u00a0One of the big adjustments for us has been the list of things that have to be done after the boys are in bed. \u00a0Most of these things involve getting ready so that we can have water the next day to drink.<\/p>\n

We are slowly adjusting and becoming accustom to life here. \u00a0We have a long way to go, but we are figuring things out slowly. \u00a0Our goal this weekend is to get our washer machine installed\u00a0and get some rest. \u00a0This week I learned to rely on God in ways I rarely have had to. \u00a0This weekend I hope to learn how to rest in Him and get renewed.<\/p>\n
