{"id":3145,"date":"2014-04-23T11:37:54","date_gmt":"2014-04-23T11:37:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-mcmartin\/?p=3145"},"modified":"2014-04-23T11:37:54","modified_gmt":"2014-04-23T11:37:54","slug":"easter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-mcmartin\/2014\/04\/23\/easter\/","title":{"rendered":"Easter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thursday morning before Easter, I woke up to an email from my mom tell me about how my older brother had decided to turn to Christ and that he would be baptized this Sunday.\u00a0 Tears of Joy filled my eyes as it was a day that we had waited for a long time.\u00a0 After the initial joy came some seeds of doubt and fear to actually believe and hope.\u00a0 Part of me wondered if it was real and could I really just rejoice.\u00a0 But that doubt was quickly met by the reminder that rang in my ear, &#8220;I AM ABLE&#8221;.\u00a0 Did I believe it?\u00a0 Yes I did, God IS able.\u00a0 What seems at times impossible to man is possible to God.\u00a0 It is a truth that we need to just freely hand on to.\u00a0 That is what we celebrated this Easter.\u00a0 We celebrated a risen Lord who is able to bring us back to God, no matter how far away we have run. It would have been great to have been there with my family to watch this baptism, but we were here on the other side of the world rejoicing alongside them.\u00a0 Glory To God!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Easter<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><\/strong>I spent the week with Cecil, making the drink that is traditionally made here on Easter by Catholics and Christians and then passed out the class=\"wp-caption-text\">By making and eating lots of cookies<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunday Morning we woke up really to worship in at a sunrise service<\/li>\n<li>We then shared breakfast together with our church<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3148\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3148\" style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a village, eating together and resting in the heat of the day<\/li>\n<li>The day ended with a Skype call to my parents to celebrate all that God had done for our family this
