There were many ways that this last trip was really special. \u00a0First special thing was that Joel had decided to take Ethan along on this trip – making it a special father-son adventure. \u00a0They camped together at the guesthouse grounds and spent hours in the car together. \u00a0Ethan was so excited about the trip and he did amazingly well through the travels.<\/p>\n

It was a long ceremony, but he quickly made some friends<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It is great to involve our kids in ministry – Allowing them to see what we see and be part of what we are part of.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Another way this trip was special, was that our African parents came along. \u00a0It was their first time down to this part of Senegal and they enjoyed the ceremony so much. \u00a0They came back the next week and stood up in church to share what God has taught them through this trip.<\/p>\n

They are family to us and we loved having them on this trip<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Finally this trip was special because it was it was our first long trip in our new car. \u00a0We can’t tell you what a blessing our car has been to us – making so many things possible that were too complicated before.<\/p>\n

We often find ourselves thanking God for this amazing car<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It makes these long trips possible even with poor roads and flooding and also allows for comfort in the journey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
