My most recent trip took me to this village on the Southern boarder of Senegal<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"\u00a0I
I was there to help one of our missionaries who has been working on entering into life there.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"I
I arrived as things started heating up – bring temperatures to around 117 degrees in the heat of the day<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"People
People were preparing for the rains by putting new layers on their roof<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"I
I enjoyed walking around the village and being introduced to people there<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"Seeing
and seeing and hearing about normal life<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"I
Each village is unique, but I am always stuck by how precious the people are<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"jljljasd\"
And by how much they are in need of God’s truth<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"Put
But a highlight for me was seeing the starting bloom of the church.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Half way through the trip we got the opportunity to share at the believers meeting. \u00a0At the meeting there were 4 men and 2 women and the kids that came a long with them. \u00a0It was such a small group compared to the size of the village. \u00a0There were some ways that you could look at this small group and wonder what God has been doing. \u00a0The missionary I was staying with had been there for over 20 years. \u00a0Yet among that small group of believers 2 of the men had met with our leadership just 2 days before to talk about reaching out to other villages around them through teaching literacy. \u00a0Such a small insignificant group in our eyes, but yet I know God sees them differently. \u00a0This village has seen a revolving door of missionaries that have had to leave for one reason or another. \u00a0I look at the reality of this and wonder what God is doing. \u00a0But this trip I was reminded that God knows what he is doing and that even when the results seems small perhaps those small seeds will be the beginning to a work that can be attributed to no one, but God.<\/p>\n

I was reminded that we need to not over look this small group of believers, but to look at how we can work alongside them to see Gods truth continue forward.<\/p>\n

Pray for this small group of believers that God would strengthen them each day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Pray as well for Joel who is still traveling for another week. \u00a0He crossed the Ivory Coast and Liberia boarder yesterday for the last leg of his trip, but I could tell from his voice that he was starting to feel the tiredness of the journey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
