Ethan Turns 5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everyone had a party hat...even all his puppies<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ethan has been my superstar. \u00a0I was the most worried about him with the move to Africa and although it has been difficult he is doing amazingly well. \u00a0I know God’s hand has been with him in this time of transition. \u00a0He really misses our family, friends and churches back home. \u00a0Yet he is willing to see the good that is here and is diving into the language. \u00a0Here is a little bit about him from his own words.<\/p>\n

How does it feel to be 5? \u00a0I can’t tell yet if I feel 5 or still 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

What are you going to do now that you are 5? Lose my first tooth<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>\u00a0What are you excited about this year? \u00a0Learning French and beating more levels on Mario<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is your favorite French word? \u00a0The French “R” \u00a0<\/strong>(followed by a demonstration)<\/p>\n

What do you like about Africa? My school<\/strong><\/p>\n

What do you like to eat? \u00a0Salad and French Fries<\/strong><\/p>\n

How would you describe Africa? \u00a0It is hot and never rains<\/strong><\/p>\n

What do you miss from Portland? \u00a0Cinnamon toast crunch,\u00a0Jared\u00a0and Isaac<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having Tori here for our first months in Africa has been an extreme blessing. \u00a0She had taken advantage of her time here and has\u00a0experienced\u00a0a lot of the life and culture of Africa. \u00a0 It is crazy when I think that her time here is almost done. \u00a0God sure did know what he was doing when he sent her our way. \u00a0I tried to interview her as well, but she mainly just copied Ethan’s answers, so I will leave it up to you to find out more about her.<\/p>\n
