{"id":929,"date":"2012-04-22T11:43:29","date_gmt":"2012-04-22T11:43:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-mcmartin\/?p=929"},"modified":"2012-04-22T11:43:29","modified_gmt":"2012-04-22T11:43:29","slug":"are-you-sure-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-mcmartin\/2012\/04\/22\/are-you-sure-god\/","title":{"rendered":"Are you sure God?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I will be honest that there are times when I react the same way as Gideon and Moses and ask God, &#8220;Are you sure you picked the right person for this job?&#8221;\u00a0 There are so many ways that I don&#8217;t fit the mold of a &#8220;good missionary&#8221;.\u00a0 There are so many weaknesses that I have.\u00a0 Just yesterday I flushed the toilet here in Thailand and a huge spider ran out.\u00a0 I screamed!\u00a0 And then I thought this is ridiculous, I live in Africa I should not be screaming at bugs.\u00a0 Yet I think I might always still scream.\u00a0 God are you sure you sent the right person?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I am not adventurous and yet this past year has been jam packed with many adventures<\/li>\n<li>I am not organized and yet I live in a house where we have to keep track of clean water, soap water, dirty water and what buckets are used for what type of water.<\/li>\n<li>I am terrible at goodbyes and weep every time I have to say goodbye even though I have done it so many times.<\/li>\n<li>I have a terrible sense of direction and I live where there are no street signs and no order.<\/li>\n<li>I would never choose to try new foods and yet this year I have had so many different foods that I didn&#8217;t even recognize.<\/li>\n<li>I hate disagreements and yet I live in a place where I have to barter for most of what I buy.<\/li>\n<li>I like being &#8220;in the know&#8221;
