Here’s a quick look at our second full week in Roach!<\/p>\n

MONDAY:\u00a0<\/strong>John got to let out his German side and play soccer! Each week, some students meet to play soccer, ignoring the fact that it’s about 100 degrees out. John (who’s always wanted to play soccer and is good at any sport he’s ever tried) joined the fun and Judah and I watched with some other moms and kiddos. Judah actually got to wear his whole German soccer outfit but I took off the jersey before snapping any pictures (way too hot!). Judah was quite the coach — he stood at the sideline, yelled at the players, clapped, and shouted “Go!” every now and then :).<\/p>\n

TUESDAY<\/strong>: More classes! Still studying Worldview Analysis (fascinating!), some History of NTM, and getting into CLA (Culture\/Language Acquisition). We are starting Foundational Bible Teaching next week. It’s a privilege to learn so much from so many amazing teachers!<\/p>\n

WEDNESDAY<\/strong>: Judah continues to enjoy childcare! He’s a little more clingy when I drop him off now, but the workers in there know Judah well enough to say: “Do you want to watch some Elmo?” and Judah usually claps, yells “Elmooo!” and is off \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

THURSDAY<\/strong>: What’s one of the biggest cultural differences between Washington State and Missouri? Starbucks!!! First of all, if you’re not from WA, you should know that there’s a Starbucks at every corner. Maybe even two. So for one, we were shocked to only see 9 Starbucks signs throughout our ENTIRE road trip! Yes, we counted…don’t judge, you get creative with 27 hours in the car. This week we had a free afternoon and some gift cards left, so we thought we’d drive to Osage Beach (where the next Starbucks is) and enjoy some coffee. Well, let’s just say a 30 minute drive to our bank and to Starbucks turned into 1 1\/2 hours of getting lost in Osage Beach (despite google maps and a TomTom! Very confusing town). BUT we found it and enjoyed some coffee :).<\/p>\n

FRIDAY<\/strong>: Each Friday morning starts with Chapel with all the students, which is a great time of worship! I’m still not completely used to the fact that we’re not leading worship anymore and find myself thinking “This is a great song, we should try this one!” \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

SATURDAY<\/strong>: Time for me to do grocery shopping, for the boys to go on a hike, and for all of us to hang out at the lake!<\/p>\n
