{"id":1080,"date":"2015-05-15T21:28:06","date_gmt":"2015-05-16T02:28:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/john-anyan\/?p=1080"},"modified":"2015-05-15T21:28:06","modified_gmt":"2015-05-16T02:28:06","slug":"fun-foto-friday-60","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/john-anyan\/2015\/05\/15\/fun-foto-friday-60\/","title":{"rendered":"Fun Foto Friday #60"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>I never envisioned myself as a mother of boys.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t remember ever climbing a tree as a child. My pets were bunnies and I wouldn&#8217;t even get close to anything with 6, 8, or no legs. I grew up with two sisters and one brother, who had to suffer as the minority in the family (dressing him up in ballet outfits was our favorite). I&#8217;m also quite the germaphobe and appreciate things neat and tidy. Needless to say, I didn&#8217;t quite know what to expect with a baby\u00a0boy. Or two, for that matter.<\/p>\n<p>But the Lord sure knew what I needed to grow and mature. I needed to LET IT GO (sing it out loud, I know you want to!). &#8220;IT&#8221; being the inner urge I have to control things and people around me. So God, in His grace and infinite wisdom, chose me to be the mother of two precious boys.<\/p>\n<p>For this Fun Foto Friday, here are some things I never thought I would ever have to say in my life and that have gently forced me to let go of control and the fears that come with it:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. &#8220;Please don&#8217;t put that dead worm in your mouth!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8212; Letting go of the fear of unknown germs and bacteria and the horror visions of what could happen (but still not letting my kids eat dead worms).<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1096\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1096\" style=\"width: 208px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/john-anyan\/files\/2015\/05\/IMG_5910.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1096\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/john-anyan\/files\/2015\/05\/IMG_5910-208x300.jpg\" alt=\"No worm in my hand, I promise, Mama! Apparently, there are lizards around here that &#8220;drop&#8221; their tail when someone tries to catch them.
